CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Normal to Dry Skin: An In-Depth Review

CeraVe’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that provides all-day hydration for normal to dry skin. I recently had the chance to try out this popular drugstore moisturizer and wanted to provide an in-depth review of my experience.

Who This is Good For

I would recommend the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for those with normal to dry skin needing a basic, everyday moisturizer. It provides hydration without clogging pores, so is suitable for acne-prone skin as well. The fragrance-free formula is great for sensitive skin too.

Customer review

“Have been using mostly on my face, but also sometimes on my hands, arms shoulders. Has no scent, which I like. The consistency is light, so it is easy to apply and seems to absorb quickly. Does not leave an oily feel. Has really helped my facial appearance and the skin is no longer peeling around the edges or dried out. They need to add nicotinamide (Vit. B3) and it would then be the perfect skin moisturizer. The have a version with B3 for “night time”, but is comes in a very small package (3 oz) and is way too expensive.”

“Wow! I’m getting older now and I’ve noticed some “lines” that id rather NOT notice and I use my regular cremes for my face but wasn’t sure what to buy for the rest of me 🙃So I read a bunch of reviews & checked ingredients & pulled the trigger and honestly? I wasn’t prepared for the great results I’ve found and I’m sooo happy! This creme/lotion is AMAZING! I haven’t stopped using it and have now purchased it several times. I love it. For quick and lasting results for your arms/chest/neck/hands area- buy this and you’ll be very happy with the results.”

Customer questions & answers

Q:Is this ok for normal to oily skin? For example T zone particularly any recomendaciones?

A: I have an oilier T-zone and this works great, it’s lightweight and wear well throughout the day for me.

Q:Is it good for irritated skin?

A: I would say yes…I use it everyday and wouldn’t say my skin is irritated, but dry…Hope this helps.

Q:What percentage of salicylic acid does this have?

A: This product does not contain salicylic acid. The Cerave SA cleanser contains less than 0.5% salicylic acid, according to FDA regulations.

Q:How much hyaluronic acid is used in this? Is it 1%?

A: Sorry, but it does not list percentage on the bottle.

It’s lightweight, oil-free, non-comedogenic, and contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid to attract and retain moisture in the skin barrier. If you have normal to dry skin and need an affordable daily moisturizer without fancy bells and whistles, I highly recommend giving CeraVe’s lotion a try.
